This post shows students and new users steps to turn On or Off updates for other Microsoft products in Windows 11. Windows allows users to enable or disable updates for other Microsoft products like Office or other development tools.
By default, Windows Updates is turned on and enabled so that it can automatically download and install the latest updates to keep Windows devices running smoothly and securely. When you update Windows 11, you’ll get the latest fixes and security improvements, helping your device run efficiently and stay protected.
When you have other Microsoft products installed on your device, you can have Windows Update download and install updates for those products as well. Doing this will keep your device protected and other Microsoft products secured.
To manage your options and see available updates, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Windows Update. There, you can check for update and install the latest update, or choose a time that works best for you to download the update.
