Windows uses artificial intelligence to help you type efficiently and save time. Typing insights is a feature in Windows that its uses Microsoft’s Ai and ML systems to learn to suggest words, autocorrect spelling mistakes, interpret swiped typing.
Typing insights is tied directly to Touch keyboard and on-screen keyboard in Windows. When you use a Touch or on-screen keyboard, as you type, Windows make suggestions, spelling correction so you can quickly finish a word.
The same with autocorrection. Windows will make sure that typos are highlighted and autocorrected while you type so you can save time and work efficiently.
Typing insights helps Windows learn and improve on its AL and ML systems so that users can be more productive. However, if you don’t want to submit your typing info to Microsoft, you can choose to turn Typing insights off.

How to enable or disable typing insights in Windows 11
As described above, typing insights is a feature in Windows that its uses to learn to suggest words, autocorrect spelling mistakes, interpret swiped typing.
It is enabled by default. However, you can quickly turn it off or re-enable it from Windows Settings app, and the steps below show you how to do that.
Windows 11 has a centralized location for majority of its settings. From system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows, all can be done from its System Settings pane.
To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings as shown in the image below:
Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and search for Settings. Then select to open it.
Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. On Windows Settings app, click the Time & language on the left, then select the Typing tile on the right pane as highlighted in the image below.
On the Time & language -> Typing settings pane, select the Typing insights tile to expand.
On the Time & language -> Typing -> Typing insights settings pane, toggle the button switch to the On or Off position to enable or disable Typing insights.
That should do it! You can now close Windows Settings app.
