How to Show the Pen Menu on the Taskbar in Windows 11

However, Windows 11 makes it easy to quickly get your essential apps simply by clicking the Pen menu on the taskbar.

How to show the Pen menu icon on the taskbar in Windows 11

As mentioned above, the Pen menu on the taskbar allows you to quickly access pen-optimized apps in Windows 11. It provide shortcuts to essentials apps without the need to go to the Start menu.

Below is how to enable it in Windows 11.

Windows 11 has a centralized location for majority of its settings. From system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows, all can be done from its System Settings pane.

To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings as shown in the image below:

Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and search for Settings. Then select to open it.

Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. In Windows Settings, click Personalization, then select Taskbar on the right pane of your screen shown in the image below.

On the Taskbar settings pane, expand the Taskbar corner icons tile, then toggle the Pen Menu switch to the On position.

When you do that, the Pen menu icon will show up on the Taskbar. You can quickly access it by clicking on it.

How to hide the Pen menu on taskbar in Windows 11

If you enabled the Pen menu on the taskbar and change your mind about it, you can quickly disable it by reversing the steps above and going to the Start menu ==> Settings ==> Personalization ==> Taskbar ==> Taskbar corner icons and toggling the button to the Off position for Pen menu.
