How to Enable Nearby Sharing in Windows 11

This post shows students and new users steps to enable or disable Nearby sharing when using Windows 11. When you turn on Nearby sharing in Windows 11, you will be able to share documents, photos, and other content with devices using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

This feature is disabled by default in Window 11. Nearby sharing feature is a handy tool, especially if you want to quickly share content with someone or some device nearby via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection.

You can also use Nearby sharing to share to other PCs. However, both PCs—the one you’re sharing from and the one your sharing to—must have Bluetooth enabled. With this, no need for a USB thumb drive or external drive to share between PCs.

The new Windows 11 comes with many new features with new user desktop, including centered Start menu and taskbar, rounded corners windows, themes and colors that will make any Windows look and feel modern.
