How to increase or decrease sound volume on Windows 11
As mentioned above, Windows allows you to quickly adjust the sound volume when you need to increase or decrease sound coming out of your computer.
The easiest way to do this is from the Quick settings menu. The Quick settings menu is a hidden button located on top of the Wi-Fi, Speaker and Battery icons.
Once you click on the Quick settings button, it should open the menu. From there you can use the slider to adjust the volume no your PC.

Bring the slider left to lower the volume and right to increase it.
How to turn off or mute sound on Windows 11
If you wish to quickly mute sounds coming from your PC, simply move the slider all the way to the left and bring the sound level to 0.
You should then see an x on the speaker icon indicating the sound is turn off.

How to adjust sound from Windows settings app
One can also use Windows settings app to adjust the volume on Windows 11. If you right-click on the Quick settings area of the taskbar, it should give you Sound settings options as shown below.
Click on Sound settings to open Windows settings app and bring up the Sound settings.

If you have multiple sound devices, you can independently adjust the volume for each. Select the sound device you want to adjust the volume for, and move the slider left to decrease and right to increase the sound.
